COVID has affected all of us, and is making planing the future harder than ever. We hope our guarantee to you will make you feel confident booking a course with us. We have made our courses COVID Secure, following government guidance and industry best practice. Read on to find out more about the changes that we have made.
Our guarantee to you:
We are being as flexible as we can. If you are affected by changing COVID restrictions after you book your course we will offer you a gift voucher valid for 24 months. Be that restrictions affecting you (being asked to self isolate), your area (it being illegal or advised against for you to travel), our staff (being asked to self isolate) or our sites (travel to our sites being made illegal or advised against).
We are back up and running our courses, in a COVID secure manner so they do look a little different, but it is not affecting the experience– here is what to expect:
Changes we have made:
We are using tippy taps with a foot pedal for hand washing, so no surface cross-contamination can occur, whilst ensuring hand washing is with running water and soap or hand gel.
We are no longer passing things around the group for demonstration, but leaving them on a table and asking people to take turns to step in close and look. Again reducing the chance of surface transfer.
Our instructors are making use of long pointy sticks to show you what should go where and how things are done!
We have chosen to continue to limit our numbers to five clients across all our courses into 2021. This will ensure plenty of room for social distancing, and contribute to customers’ peace of mind.

We provide you with a numbered tool bag.
We provide you with a numbered tool bag and a personal water supply to top up your water bottle at the start of each course. The contents of the bag will either have been left fallow for three days or have been sanitised. The bottle will have been sanitised. The bag will only have been touched by an instructor with hands that have been sanitised or washed prior to this.
We have increased the size of our parachute shelters to a huge 8m by 10m (South Wales) and 10m diameter (South London) and have brought in more benches / logs to allow for social distancing.

Things we are asking you and our staff to do:
We are asking all clients to bring hand sanitiser for those ‘on the go’ moments.
We are asking all clients and staff to socially distance, unless they arrived as a household or bubble. If this is not adhered to, like all our rules, staff have the option to ask you to remove yourself from the course.
We are also reminding customers and staff of the current advice on symptoms. Asking them to follow the current government advice if they, a member of their household or bubble has symptoms, or if they have been contacted by the NHS track and trace systems, and advised to self isolate.
With COVID, like with all activities, we cannot guarantee safety, but we can take many sensible steps to ensure we are reducing the risk to our customers, our staff, and our families and friends as much as possible.
It is a strange and unprecedented time, it has hit us all in different ways whether this be financally or with mental, or physical health issues, or any other way, 2020 will be a year we won’t forget for a very long time. But together we can still continue to provide incredible bushcraft experiences in a safe and enjoyable learning environment.
We’ve got the new systems in place and they are working well. We have had some great days and weekends already. The new adaptations don’t get in the way of having a good time, learning loads and laughing lots.
