Timings: 9.30am to 5.00pm
Aged: 18 and above.
Location: South London Woods – Near Caterham
As we move though the landscape we will identify the track and sign left behind by mammals, birds and invertebrates. As well as foot morphology and tracks we will be identifying feeding sign, droppings, territorial signs and resting areas of a vast range of animals.
We won’t just rely on what our walk has to offer that day, but will also look at a range of track and sign that our instructors have collected over the years. Looking at the key identification features of feathers, various different skulls and of course studying foot morphology. The course is practical in its majority.
Lizzy has been studying track and sign since 2018, having developed an interest in it since childhood. She’s studied with some of the leading experts both in the UK and overseas. She had been awarded a cyber tracker level 2 in both the UK and South Africa.
