Food & cooking:
Mug and plate/bowl, knife, fork, spoon – (metal or plastic).
Water bottle – minimum one litre – this can be an old drink or squash bottle.
Washing up sponge – we will provide bio-degradable soap for washing up.
Snacks to keep energy levels up, between meals.
Sleeping:
Sleeping bag – 3 season recommended.
Roll mat – A yoga mat will not be warm enough. A closed cell foam mat is recommended.
Pillow – or a bundle of clothes.
Clothing:
Suitable for the season, and forecast – there are times when we will be static so please add an extra layer or two than you would need for a walk. Lots of thin layers are better than one thick one. No jeans, or heavy cotton jumpers they soak up any rain, full length trousers are recommended.
Please also bring a full change of clothes.
Waterproof Jacket and Trousers, we will be outside all day.
Full fingered gloves.
Woolly Hat – a sun hat might also be required please check the forecast.
Sturdy Footwear – These should be waterproof, warm and provide ankle support, comfortable walking boots are recommended.
Misc:
Torch and spare batteries – head torch is ideal.
Wash kit – as a minimum, toothpaste, toothbrush, antibacterial wipes, baby wipes, loo roll.
Notebook, pencil and paper.
Personal first aid kit – plasters, anti bacterial wipes, insect repellent, sting relief, sun cream and personal over the counter medication – ibuprofen etc.
Personal Medication – ventolin, insulin, EpiPens etc.
Carrier bags – always come in handy.
Rucksack or Holdall – You need to be able to carry all your kit.
Please feel free to bring your own personal kit you would like to try out if you have it. But in the interests of safety we ask you to consult our Instructors before using it to assess its suitability, e.g. knives, fire lighting equipment, etc.
Alcohol policy, we have a no alcohol policy on site, due to the risks of fire and sharp tools etc.
Please note we will be using sharp tools during the day, use of these will be refused if it is deemed you are still suffering the effects of drink from the night before.
